About The Opportunity

The department for Instrumentation & component testing is looking for an Instrumentation Engineer. The department is responsible for instrumentation and testing of gas turbine engines and components within the GKN Aerospace facility in Trollhättan. Our product range includes both military and commercial jet engines as well as stationary gas turbines and rocket engines and components. We work cross functionally in all product development stages from technology and concept development to product support.

Key Responsibilities

The position as instrumentation engineer is about participating in instrumentation and testing of full scale gas turbine engines or components. You will be part of product development teams and responsible forcoordinationg all instrumentation activities from start up to test. Typical activities are project planning, design of instrumentation hardware, establishing instrumentation and manufacturing procedures. Also improvements of existing installation techniques as well as testing of new techniques.

Qualifications / Experience / Skills

Qualifications:

  • Master or Bachelor of Science from Electronics/Mechanical orequivalent

  • Open and Social personality with high ability to cooperate and communicate with team members

  • Good understanding of the customer´s needs and a strong drive to improve

  • Fluent in Swedish and in English, both in writing and speaking

  • Earlier experience from measurements and/or testing is appreciated

Software and IT:

  • Microsoft Office
