Job Purpose

Maintain weekly rolling MPS at the plant resource level in order to balance demand and supply within available capacity and plant set Inventory targets. Create and maintain sequenced production execution which through production change-over optimization will ensure maximum capacity utilization.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain weekly rolling MPS covering cumulative lead time horizon to ensure 100% customer demand supply while maintaining Inventory targets and optimizing plant capacity.

  • Schedule production for specified products and production Lines understanding all the physical and manning constraints of these Lines.

  • Ensure that MPS:

  • Is feasible and balanced against resource finite/demonstrated capacity,

  • Includes all phase-in/out, localization and transfer plans as well as new programmes development/prototyping,

  • Is based on SIOP agreed working calendar and includes all planned downtime (Holiday, routine maintenance, Line closures, etc.),

  • Is in line with Supplier/Subcontractor available supply capacity,

  • Can be supported with available WIP and FG packaging,

  • Provide input for Material Requirement Planning / Vendor Scheduling process,

  • Proactively communicate/escalate to the management team potential MPS issues/constraints to trigger preventive actions in order to mitigate supply failure risk,

  • Monitor manufacturing output/performance daily against the plan, challenging and understanding whenever performance differs from the plan,

  • Monitor Stock cover daily in order to avoid Stock outs as well as overstocks by adjusting the plan if possible or raising the issue with Planning Leader,

  • Regularly analyze Inventory target level vs Customer demand in order to optimize/challenge current status and search for improvement opportunities,

  • Provide communication/feedback to CSR/COM team in case of any potential supply issues and also in order to improve Forecast accuracy,

  • Liase with PM team to support and coordinate all production planning related new programme launch/prototyping activities,

  • Monitor FG Inventory in light of any potential write off to support planning/Commercial decision to be made to minimize impact,

  • Ensure processes relevant KPI’s are monitored and PDCA approach applied with A3 in case of deviation to ensure targets are delivered in a sustainable way (e.g.: Schedule Adherence, Customer DSA, Inventory Turns),

  • Manage or take active part in SC and Plant performance related continuous improvement projects/activities,

  • Using production change-over matrix sequence weekly MPS into a day/shift detailed shop floor execution plan covering period between 1 to 2 weeks,

  • Maximize shared manufacturing resource output/utilization while ensuring full coherence with MPS product mix, volumes and required availability dates,

  • Ensure that sequenced plan:

  • Is feasible and balanced against resource finite/demonstrated capacity,

  • Includes all planned downtime (Holiday, routine maintenance, Line closures, etc.),

  • Is supportable with available WIP and FG packaging,

  • On a daily and/or ad-hoc basis communicate with Value Stream Leaders planned production sequence or any changes required to the actual production plan,

  • Monitor availability of components and notify Value Stream Leader as well as communicate/escalate with MPS Planner in case of potential availability issues,

  • Proactively communicate/escalate to the MPS Planner / management team potential production execution issues/constraints to trigger preventive actions against potential supply failure,

  • On regular (daily) basis track, challenge and report to Management team Schedule Adherence with reasons for deviation,

  • Ensure actual run-rates, batch quantities and changeover-times data are tracked and regularly updated in Planning Systems.
