What you’ll do

Job Purpose

Perform professional financial analysis and planning duties to support the business unit’s overall programs processes, strategies and objectives. Perform general financial accounting tasks such as processing, recording, reporting, maintenance and analysis of financial transactions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and ensured adherence to Overhead Cost control processes. This includes working closely with account owners, becoming familiar with underlying expenses, and taking an active role in managing spending activity.

  • Forecast overhead and other indirect costs, explain to leadership and document drivers of variances to forecast, and play an active role in managing costs within allowed budgets.

  • Develop, evaluate, and publish labor and overhead pricing rates based upon manufacturing and engineering labor estimates, actual to date costs, RFP requirements and corporate business objectives

  • Prepare and submit sites Disclosure Statement (Form DS-1) to the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) which describes how the site records, reports, and proposes costs on government contracts or subcontracts to government contracts as governed by Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS). Produce and prepare for cognitive government agency Incurred Cost Submissions (ICS) and Forward Pricing Rate Proposals(FPRP).

  • Support audit of published rates by DCAA and customers by serving as the primary point of contact, preparing/organizing requested documentation

  • Develop management accounting standard cost rates in accordance with International Accounting Standard 2 (IAS 2)

  • Support various commercial proposal activities and lead audit support as needed.

  • Monitor internal control environment, identify potential weaknesses and recommend mitigating controls

  • Perform other financial accounting duties as required

About you

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field

  • 7 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis

  • Must be US Citizen or Permanent Resident

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience in US Government contracting including applicable Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Acquisition Regulation System (DFARS), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and processes affecting procurement and contractual functions

  • Experience with forecasting indirect costs

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Strong communication &interpersonal skills

  • Proven strong analytical skills

  • Capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines

  • Ability to work independently, be a self-starter

  • Excellent PC skills in Windows Suite especially Excel

  • Strong organizational skills and process adherence skills
