About The Opportunity

What you’ll do

Role Purpose

Manage the industrialization of one or more launch programs for Driveline products according to the CAPM process to deliver approved targets i.e. time, quality, and cost.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as green team member & site representative for launch activities on any programs for which they are responsible for the industrialization, reporting to the relevant PM as appropriate.

  • Initiate & lead any category 4 programs in their plant following authority being received from relevant management committee or from NBA meetings.

  • Establish the Program Launch (PL) plant core team. Using the PL Kick-off meeting, ensure that all relevant information is reviewed by the PL core team, including approved program targets, specific customer requirements, product & process deviations, previous concern history relating to the customer and products to be launched.

  • Ensure that any Know-how transfer requirements are defined & communicated to the relevant PM, and ensure proper deployment in the plant.

  • Track industrialization costs (tooling, subcontracting, investment, logistics, freight, etc) and identify with the local team any cost reduction opportunities.

  • Define, and maintain as living control documents, a comprehensive PL Timing Plan and Risk Management plan, ensuring alignment with customer vehicle development and APQP requirements.

  • Support the Program Manager on any local customer visits/audits as required.

  • Ensure all concerns are addressed and resolved in acceptable timescales, including appropriate escalation. Share any lessons learnt.

  • Ensure the local HPL & relevant Program Manager is kept aware of progress against approved targets.

  • Ensure relevant management is kept aware of progress against approved targets.

  • When leading a cat 4 program, arrange for I-SHARE program database to be created, accessible by all members of the PM organization and authorized management.

  • Ensure that all required information is managed in I-SHARE Program database.

  • Ensure program status is kept up-to-date in Program Directory.

  • Ensure adherence to Customer Application Program Management Process (Driveline CAPM), including the approval and rejection of deviations.

  • If executing a stage D program, ensure all relevant Driveline processes are adhered to

About you

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience working in a manufacturing plant, process knowledge, understanding of quality control systems

  • Ability to lead programs involving local cross-functional teams

  • Understanding of GKN Driveline products and processes
