About The Opportunity
Responsible for the effective management of personnel, processes, facilities and transfer projects, to provide on time delivery of quality products and services to GKN/FE-IN customer base. Developing a highly motivated, multi-functional integrated manufacturing team, focused on meeting customer- and FE business objectives.
This role is for a new GKN Fokker Elmo Plant to be set up in the Phulgaon area of Pune. GKN Fokker Elmo designs and manufactures wire harnesses for the Aerospace and defense sector. This will be a key role during the set up and further development of the plant. Substantial growth of the plant is expected in the first three years. Growth towards leadership and management positions is envisaged for key startup personnel
Plan, organize and control work within the Team to achieve organizational goals set by the Management Team.
Develop high motivated team and manage performance of team members; Manage the effective working relationships between Quality, MEng (PTS), Team Leaders, Planning, and related supporting staff
Manage the performance of the team and co-ordinate KPI's in relation to Quality, Cost and On Time Delivery.
Adhere to company lean manufacturing and management policies, drive company lean target achievement.
Manage projects to transfer products into GKN/FE-IN.
Build up, and maintenance of facilities to accommodate production
Adhere to Safety procedure and policies in accordance with safety management system
Qualification and Skills
University degree or equivalent experience (Master Business Adminstration)
7+ years experiences in manufacturing environment.
Basic knowledge of quality systems and existing processes in the organization.
Basic knowledge of Logistics and production systems (including Lean Manufacturing) and business insight (planning, budgets, cost control)
Basic knowledge of Safety, Health and Environmental Requirements.
Specific Functional Competencies, Knowledge and Skills Required
Proven experience in effective people management, teambuilding and motivation.
Proven ability in problem analysis and problem solving (8D, 5-Why etc…) and continuous improvement.

English is essential: oral and written
during the set up of the facility / 1st year, 30% travelling time needed for training purposes, including
going to China/Turkey/The Netherlands for a period of three months, with intermediate trips home
