About The Opportunity

Lead global sub-customer (brand, product stream or other sub-account category) account with pricing strategy, margin progression plan aligned with global account finance champion, relationship plans and new business approval process. Contribute to and implement global account strategy and coordinate cross functional team together with corresponding chief engineer to meet global account targets.

The Role could be based in Bruneck or in Lohmar.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of the customer strategies

  • Develop and maintain an in-depth and up to date understanding of the customer, including its market position, vehicle strategy, commodity purchasing, competitor activities, organisation, etc.

  •  Implementation of sales strategies across all Driveline product segments

  •  Utilise opportunities to be involved in broader vehicle activities of the customer across all GKN Driveline product segments, working closely with chief engineer

  •  Utilise opportunities to promote the benefits of GKN Driveline’s system supply highlighting capabilities across all product segments

  •  Develop a relationship and network throughout the customer

  •  Represent GKN Driveline at the customer

  •  Monitor the customer’s perception of GKN Driveline in conjunction with the chief engineer and the quality champion and agree on actions to address perception issues

  •  Represent the customer within Driveline providing the necessary information to the relevant functions and tracking responses to customer issues

  •  Provide input to the iDash/demand management and program management business processes

  •  Lead input and ensure alignment to the account planning process, e.g. 5YP, budget process

  •  Lead customer negotiations such as material recovery or contract/annual pricing negotiations

  •  Lead customer cost down initiatives

  •  Manage margin plan and tracking thereof

  •  Manage customer agreements, contracts and licences

  •  Manage specific tasks as requested by the senior key account director

  •  Ensure to proceed in line to GKN policy, e.g. health and safety, environmental, etc.
