What you’ll do
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for timely and accurate payroll (and shadow payroll) input for international assignees to and from the US (inpatriates & expatriates), including all tax and payroll requirements and processing payments for US Divisions. Inspecting registered and standard reports, gathering payroll data and preparing payroll management reports.
Liaise with tax provider for review and processing of Commuter/Short-Term shadow payroll.
Liaise with global relocation provider for review and upload of non-wage data.
Manage the collation and distribution of Americas payroll and benefit data for tax purposes on a quarterly basis, respond to basic questions from tax provider.
Under the direction of Global Mobility Manager, completion of monthly US payroll and benefit reporting, including reconciling figures to master report. Coordination with larger Global Mobility team on global requirements.
Coordinate Americas tax return compliance with external provider, responsible for tracking status of Tax Equalization payments and ensuring relevant payments and settlements are made, interacting with assignees of all seniority.
Support preparation of US year end reporting requirements (W2s) and associated breakdowns.
Complete applications for US social security Certificate of Coverage, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Support Mexican tax settlement process for commuters and analysis of frequent travelers to Canada to identify potential risks
Maintain US employee and payroll files (both electronic and hard copy)
Manage administration for key US suppliers, including recharges of relevant costs
Provide payroll and tax support for Graduate Program assignments
Provide administration and project support to the Global Mobility Team, as required
Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Payroll or related function preferred.
2 years’ experience of US payroll/accounting
Must be US Citizen per ITAR regulations to comply with export compliance and site SSA requirements
Previous experience with International Payroll and Accounting preferred, exposure to Taxable Wage reporting a bonus
Able to run ADP EV5 payroll and prepare required reports
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to analyze, compile and present accounting data in management reporting
Strong MS Excel skills/experience
