GKN Aerospace Cromwell was established in 2003. Our site specializes in the design and manufacture of composite assemblies for both military and commercial applications using innovative and cutting edge technologies.

Role Purpose

Performs a variety of administrative and clerical duties for the General Manager of GKN Aerospace. Prepares letters, memos, reports, and graphic presentations using a personal computer. Answers telephones, makes travel plans, coordinates meeting arrangements, and greets visitors and guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and arranges various meetings including external, internal, telephone conferencing, and video conferencing.

  • Arranges customer visits, greets visitors, and sets up meeting room accommodations.

  • Pre-check visitors based on Government guidelines to ensure they are eligible to come onsite.

  • Manages General Manager and upper management calendars

  • Prepares a variety of letters, memos, reports, and graphic presentations.

  • Makes travel arrangements.

  • Interfaces and communicates with customers and other guests and all levels of employees within the organization.

  • Performs numerous clerical functions including sorting mail, answering telephones, updating internal telephone directory, ordering office supplies, photocopying, sending faxes and e-mails, and maintaining files and records.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.


  • High school diploma

Formal Qualifications

  • MUST BE A U.S Citizen or Permanent Resident.

  • Minimum of three years as executive secretary or administrative assistant.

  • Office software including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to perform detailed work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality at all times
