About The Opportunity
To Support the ME & Q Improvement Manager as the primary interface between GKN Filton and Western Approach and its customers on ME & Q improvement matters.
To facilitate all ME & Q progress reviews both internally and with the customer.
To drive and report on all ME & Quality improvement activities across Filton and Western Approach, both internally and within the supply chain.
Ensure a consistent ME & Q approach is applied through all business units across both Filton and Western Approach sites.
Co-ordinate quality performance data analysis to develop ME & Quality improvement / reduction projects in all areas of Filton and Western Approach.
Ensure that all ME and Quality Improvement projects are progressing to the plans owned by the project leaders.
Co-ordinate all customer Notice Of Escapes, including internal and external reporting through to closure ensuring all stakeholders are updated accordingly.
Manage all customer 8D’s in conjunction with all 8D leads, ensuring timely responses at each stage, robust RCCA and clear status reporting through to closure.
Facilitate all progress reviews internally and with the customer (Filton and Western Approach).
Drive customer-owned actions in support of ME & Quality improvement projects.
Ensure all ME & Quality reports and Key Performance Indicators are updated and accurate to weekly, monthly, annual reporting schedules. (Internal and external across Filton and Western Approach).
Collate all data that supports the Key Performance Indicators and improvement projects to ensure transparency and clarity across all areas of the business (Filton and Western Approach).
Champion ‘Export Control’ compliance activities, ensuring you and
where applicable, members of your team, adhere to the site
‘Technology Control Plan (TCP)’, guaranteeing compliance with Export
Control Regulations, controls, training and systems.
Ensure compliance with all risk assessments and company Environment, Health
& Safety Procedures relevant to all work activities, reporting of all incidents, accidents and near misses as per the company’s procedure and implementation of identified corrective action whilst maintaining good standards of housekeeping in designated work area(s).
Qualifications and Skills - Formal Qualifications
Must be educated to HND or Degree level with a minimum of 5 years previous experience in an aerospace (or similar) engineering / manufacturing environment. (Certification Check).
Project Management qualification or experience. (Certification check / interview).
Quality qualification or experience. (Certification check / interview).

Ability to read / interpret Engineering Drawings
Act as a Key Communicator, cascade information effectively, and provide
appropriate feedback on a regular basis
