About The Opportunity
What you’ll do
Facilitate continuous improvement implementation and employee involvement via project development and management, team & personal training facilitation and coaching. The primary objective of the site continuous improvement leader is to coach and influence the site leadership and employees to implement and sustain a positive continuous improvement change culture and positively trending operational results within their scope.
Works to involve everyone in the pursuit of sustained beneficial change
Implements train-the-trainer approach and rapid, sustained implementation through learn-by-doing methods
Co-creates, sustains, revises and measures progress on the Site Continuous Improvement Plan
Focuses site teams on continuous improvement, by involving people in meeting productivity and site objectives
Facilitates improvement implementation through:
Team improvement projects
Lean Enterprise training workshops
Facilitates continuous improvement interventions and employee involvement teams throughout the site and within the supply community; may support other complementary sites
Assures that predicted improvements are implemented, measured, driven to closure and crossed to operating results
Identifies opportunities to implement common processes and best practices from other sites and businesses; Disseminates and acts upon relevant industry and corporate benchmarking data
Assures that predicted savings are tracked, validated and posted to the site’s operating results
Provides leadership, coaching and training in lean thinking, lean processes and lean production
Advanced Technical Education or equivalent experience
Knowledge of some Lean Production Tools (such as Toyota Production System, or equivalent) would be an advantage.
Proficient oral and written communication skills
Must work exceptionally well in team environments and be adept at motivating co-workers
Must be a proven leader within a relevant discipline and a quick learner who is adaptive to and embraces change
Essential computer literacy: Corporate desktop environment such as Microsoft Office suite, Lotus Notes, or equivalent.
Promotes essential facilitation and leadership skills.
Builds teams and acts as a role model in coaching, championing change.
Envisions the future, customer focus, takes measured risks.
Fosters open communication, values learning and is able to build employee effectiveness.
